A Restored Photograph

I just love this photograph! I found this photograph looking through really old photo albums and restored it. It was faded and had water marks on it. This is one of my favorite photographs! I'm not sure who took it, but thank you!

More Minolta SRT102 Photos

Here are a few more photographs that were taken with my Minolta SRT102. It is a fantastic manual 35mm camera, and I recommend anyone who finds one to try it out.

The Results of a Snowy Christmas

For those of you living in the midwest right now, you are aware of the blizzard. Thankfully, it is almost over, but the effects will last for a few more days. Thanks to the snow, my family was unable to visit for Christmas dinner, and we have been stuck in the house for 3 days now. My days spent in the house have been rather boring, and I have resorted to photographing random objects around the house. Since its Christmas time, we have a tree up that is normally not present, so I figured, why not?

Freelance Project

My most recent project, www.LazarusManChronicles.com is finally finished. I know that it is not perfect, but I think its a pretty decent start.  The author of the book and the person who asked me to design the site for him, is a personal friend of mine. He is please with the site, which is all that matters at this point. Also, if you enjoy reading science fiction books, you should order a copy, as it is an interesting science fiction story.

www.lazarusmanchronicles.com

Its been a while

I haven't had the chance to add anything for a while, and lets be honest, I'm been keeping busy. Between school, work, and freelancing a website I haven't had much free time. But now that school is out for Christmas break and the website is finished, I can devote more time to this blog. Over Christmas break I plan to devot my time to study and practice. My future projects will be posted regularly, and hopefully I can keep up with this blog.

When I first started this blog, my intentions were very precise. I wanted the blog to focus only on photography, digital and film. I have developed a costly yet satisfying new hobby. Collecting and testing old cameras is a lot of fun, and many people seem to be interested. This blog will no longer focus only on that subject. This blog will now showcase all of my work from here on out, rather that be photography, design, coding, or recent achievements.

Hopefully I can keep up with this blog when the spring semester at Missouri Western begins. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to view my blog.

Minolta XG7 sample pictures

Taken with a 50mm 1.7 lens.

Minolta XG7

A Minolta XG7 35mm camera that I borrowed from a friend. Sadly, the shutter speed does not work (it is stuck). Because of this, most of the photos did not turn out.

Minolta SRT 102 sample pictures

Here is a sample picture taken with my Minolta SRT 102. There is a light leak on the camera, which I will fix as soon as I receive the repair kit. You can see the light leak pretty obviously on the bottom of the photo. I purchased the repair kit from a wonderful ebay seller. His username is interslice. He even provides instruction on how to repair your light leak in your camera.

Here is my new Minolta SRT 102. It was produced starting in 1973. It is one of the first cameras to have a metering system in it.

Kodak Instamatic Camera 124

This camera was produced from 1968-1971. It uses 126 type film. Because of this I will not be testing it out, but its still a nice addition to my growing collection.

Canon Sure Shot (New) color photos

Here are a few of the color photographs. Sadly, someone was looking at the camera and hit the rewind button half way through my film.

Canon Sure Shot (New)

This camera was made in 1983 and was an update to the original Sure Shot version. Its sports a 38mm f2.8 lens. This camera uses 35mm film. I have already ran some color film through this camera, and it produces wonderfully saturated results. I am currently running some black and white through it, to see how it turns out. I am very excited.

Time Camera Results

Here are some results of the Time toy camera I purchased recently. It is terrible for low light/ night photographs, but if you take some photos in the daylight its much better.

New camera

I have received a 35mm toy camera that I ordered from eBay last
week. I only paid $7! It's a great plastic toy camera that was
given out as a promotional camera from Time Magazine in the 1980s. Hopefully it will take a nice variety if pictures. We will
just have to wait and see!

Another photo taken on the way to my Dad's. The actual location is unknown. The middle of nowhere in Missouri would be pretty accurate.

First Post

I'm going to start my blog by posting one of my favorite pictures. It was taken while driving to my Dad's house.
